REVIEW

1)Commando-3

Rating :2.5/5
Duration: 2hr 30 min
Producer : Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Reliance Entertainment Motion Picture Capital.

PLUS POINTS:

1) Vidyut Jammwal is amazing in his action scenes (done by himself). Gulshan Devaiah, who plays the negative character, delivers a good performance.
2) The first half is gripping and full of actions.
3) The production values are of top standards. Locations of London have been captured beautifully.
4) The success of the first two commando series will be an added advantage for the third franchisee.

MINUS POINTS:

1) Vidyut lacks the quality of a good looking male protagonist. Adah sharma disappoints and looks like a misfit for this role. Angira Dhar, although looks beautiful and confident, but she doesn’t have much to offer.
2) Director (Aditya Datt) who earlier made films like(Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Table No -21, Dil Diya Hai),failed to make a good action thriller, especially in the second half, which is ordinary.
3) Film has a mundane story, dull screenplay & absolutely no fire in the dialogues. Even the action scenes seem monotonous. Film  fails to create a feeling of patriotism. There is no grip in the second half and it needs to be trimmed by 20 min.
4) Music ( Mannan Shah,Vikram Montrose,Score:Saurabh Bhalerao): Film does not have a single hit number. Though two songs are played on loop meaninglessly after the film ends.

BOX OFFICE: Vidyut’s fans will enjoy his action scenes like his earlier commando films. As there is no other major release, film is likely to do a decent business in the single screens only but the same can’t be said for the multiplexes.

BOX OFFICE RATING:2.5/5

2)Hotel Mumbai(Hindi, English ,Tamil, Telgu)

Rating :3/5
Duration:125 min.
Producer : Basil Iwanyk,Gary Hamilton,Andrew Ogilvie,Jomon Thomas,Mike Gabrawy,Julie Ryan,Brian Hayes.

PLUS POINTS:
1) Australlian Debutant Director (Anthony Maras) has done a commendable job and made an authentic film on 26/11, full of actions & emotions.

2) Film is a presentation of insider account of 26/11 tragedy in Mumbai which shows the incredible courage of rescue operators played by Dev Patel & Anupam Kher who have delivered a superb performance. The supporting cast( Armie Hammer & Nazanin Boniadi)too played well.
3) Cinematography (Nick Remy Matthews),art director works, and other production values are of top class.
4) Background score( Volker Bertelmann) is just perfect to keep the tempo of the film.

MINUS POINTS:
1) The approach towards the film seems too bland making it an emotionally draning watch.
2) Film does not have any entertainment value and appears more like a documentary with visuals of harrowing events from that decade. Dir Ram Gopal Verma had made a film (The attacks of 26/11) in 2013 with the same subject. Further, it has been heavily inspired from the documentary “Surviving Mumbai” which has already been seen by the masses.
3) Film releasing in India close to the date of the actual terrorist attack is weird, however it has already been released worldwide a year before, hence lacks the freshness.
BOX OFFICE: Poor promotions and limited appeal to the audience of multiplex, would affect the box office collection.

BOX OFFICE RATING:2/5

3) Yeh Saali Aashiqui (Mogambo khush nahi hua)

Rating :2/5
Duration:2hr.30 min
Producer :. Rajeev Amrish Puri,Dr Meena Rajeev Puri,Dhaval Jayantilal Gada,Akshay Jayantilal Gada

PLUS POINTS:

1) Lead actor Vardhan Puri (grandson of Late Amrish Puri) does a decent job in his debut film and tries to look and act like Shahid Kapoor(Kabir Singh)in the second half.  Shivaleeka Oberoi has done a good job.

MINUS POINTS:
2) Director (Cherag Ruparel ) seems to be obsessed with Shahid Kapoor and has tried to
get a similar performance delivered by Vardhan Puri in the second half. He disappoints badly with his poor selection of subject.

2) Story is confusing with lot of twists and turns. Screenplay is idiotic and illogical.
3)Music (Hitesh Modak) disappoints.

BOX OFFICE: Audience is hardly aware of the release of this film will lead to a big setback at the box-office.

BOX OFFICE RATING:1/5

Diya Pate(who plays herself) gives an excellent performance. The supporting cast(Suraj Wadhawa) who plays the role the Taekwondo Coach delivers a good performance.
