PLUS POINTS :
1)First half is good but only in parts.
2)Film does give us a glimpse into the amazing locations of London. Other production values like photography, costumes and project designing are of A grade.
3)The remix songs ‘Tum Par Hum Hai Atke(Pyar kiya toh darna kya ) & ‘Bimar Dil' (chalbaaz) stand out.
MINUS POINTS:
1)The entire cast (John Abraham, Illena D cruz, Anil Kapoor, Pulkit Samrat, Kirti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela, Saurabh Shukla) dissapoint. John should continue with his action films only. He is a totally mismatch for comedy. All the actor's try their level best to be funny but failed (barring in few scenes Anil, Arshad & Saurabh). Ileana D’Cruz, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela (she should be made a permanent bhoot) add value as glamour quotient only.
2) Film has a zero story line(Aneez Bazmee,Rajiv Kaul,Praful Parekh). Screenplay is horrible & dialouges lack punches.
3)Though the film claims to be a comedic one, it gives a torturous experience. Second half disappoints. The length of the film needs to be edited(Prashant Singh Rathore) badly, atleast by 30min.
4)In the climax, film turns into a patriotic one (Nirav Modi-Choksi episode) which is the childish act of a story writer.
5)Money spent like water on action & song picturisation. Could have easily been put to better use.
6)All the original songs (Music:Sajid-Wajid, Yo Yo Honey Singh,Tanishk Bagchi,Nayeem-Shabir) are ordinary.
7)Director (Anees Bazmee) who gave us hit movies like Welcome, No Entry & Singh is King failed to deliver a good or even a avg entertaining film. In the movie, he has shot 25-30 different scenes with no sequel relation. Even if 5-10 scenes are cut out, it would have no effect on the film’s continuity.
BOX-OFFICE:
As there are no major releases, “Pagalpanti” would likely do good buisness due to so called fake collection trend picking ups .When horrible comedy films like “Housefull-4” could do 200 cr, then why not “Pagalpanti” which is 10 times better ! However trailer has failed to impress the audience and hence, opening was poor in the morning. It will struggle to recover the cost.
