Writer: Vishnupriya Singh
Screenplay :M Salim

Rating- ***Stars
The Hundred Bucks is based on a book by Vishnupriya Singh writer of The Last Laugh Of Leela, which traces the story of a night in the life of a prostitute, Mohini (Kavita Tripathi), lives in a city where the only way to is to use her strong survival instincts.
Story: Mohini Is born to her parents who shun her on the day she is born for being a girl child. She is then pushed into dark lanes and Is forced into prostitution by her former saviors. She has no means to survive and goes about her business looking for men at late night. What ensues in the dark night is what the film is all about.
Direction: The title Hundred Bucks is an apt title for the film as the girl works during the early hours of morning where she earns a hundred bucks. The film has nothing new to tell as many movies have been made on this topic. Director Dushyant Pratap Singh has managed to get into the nitty gritties of prostitution racket that is rampant in today’s times. The director has tried his best to reveal more about the flesh trade that is still very much alive in the bylanes of every city. However there are a few loop holes that the director could have avoided.
Acting: Kavita Tripathi’s portrayal of a loud prostitute is good. She has managed to get into the character and bring about the pain and the miseries of a girl who is forced into the flesh trade. Dinesh Bawra has done well to support her.
Music: The music and background score are so so but add little value to the story. The film could have been done with songs in the background.
On the whole it’s a one time watch over the weekend but has little chances of survival with two big banner films like The Bhoot -The Haunted Ship and Shubha Mangal Saavdhan 2.
